Who we are
Shirliejean Arnold goes by Raven, her middle name, and frequently has to explain this. She is a Nurse Practitioner, not a doctor, and proud to be so. It is a title earned by many years serving people first as a nurse, then as a provider with more say in that service. She is a Family Nurse Practitioner, meaning she has been trained to see all ages and stages for a variety of things. Her passion, though, is for helping those with connective tissue disorders, particularly Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. She struggles with it daily so understands the struggles of her patients and loves to lighten that load. She goes to conferences, reads, does continuing education, and watches videos to make herself the best possible practitioner she can be for her patients, with a heavy focus on “Zebra” issues (iykyk). She also has a passion for serving the LGBTQ+ community and other underserved groups.
